We are recruiting for a global company who are seeking a business relationship manager/information strategist to join on a permanent basis in Luton.

The BRM - Information will be accountable for engaging with commercial business stakeholders and aligning IT delivery with business strategic needs. This role will maintain a deep understanding of commercial business strategies, operating plans and will be able to translate business needs into IT investment business cases and to manage the business case as part of prioritization governance.

This role Partners predominantly with Business Insight and Analytics teams on developing analytics technology products to confirm the company's position as a leader in healthcare innovation. Coverage includes; data storage and processing platforms, insight tools, KPI defintion, dashboards. This role may be required to work with teams outside Commercial on specific initiatives. This leader will leverage IT strategy knowledge, industry trends and in-depth understanding of business priorities to bring strategic insight and shape and influence the IT project portfolio.

Candidate Knowledge, Skills & Experience


* At least 10 years working in an business relationship manager, account manager, Data-Warehousing/Business Intelligence capability Partner (or equivalent) roles in the commercial function of large, ideally global organisation(s), focusing on the following disciplines:

* Capability/Strategic Planning
* IT Portfolio Management
* Service Delivery

* Experience of leading business area strategy
* Proven experience of developing and managing relationships with 3rd party suppliers
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
* Ability to interpret and communicate technical information into business language
* Proficiency and working knowledge of commercial business functions and understanding of the external market
* Working knowledge (technical and business application) of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
* Ability to build and manage relationships effectively in a matrixed environment.
* Skills proficiency in project management
* Proven experience of managing complex, inter-dependent business relationships within an IT setting


* Involvement in pharma thought leadership networks and organisations
* Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams
* Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working

Candidate Focus & Challenge

* Build strong strategic relationships with large and complex customer groups, developing deep understanding of business strategy, future direction, changes and needs, lead key engagement initiatives to understand demand
* The ability to develop a strong product definition and align to the strategic imperatives
* Develop customer account plans, drive accurate customer forecasting & demand planning, and development of performance metrics and customer scorecards to define and monitor delivery of value
* Assist with the prioritisation of IT projects, particularly using cost / benefit analysis to proactively manage business demand
* Maintain ownership of the business case throughout the portfolio governance process
* Drive the IT vision, strategy and roadmap for the capability area, develop operating plans, negotiate budgets and lead performance measurement to ensure the effective delivery of business objectives within timescales and quality standards.
* Lead high-level investigations on requirements specifications and feasibility studies and advise on practical alternatives
* Lead the creation of business impact assessments and business readiness plans to determine the impacts of changes on business units and roles
* Proactively identify opportunities for IS to deliver innovative solutions to customer issues/challenges and situations where leading edge technological innovations can be deployed to business advantage
* Establish and maintain working relationships with the Commercial Effectiveness functional leads, Market business leaders to drive business value within the technology delivery and support functions
* Demonstrate leadership abilities to our clients in partnering on market capabilities strategic roadmap initiatives
* Collaborate with peer Commercial Capability Partners aligned to the other capability areas and geographies to build and improve best practices, to drive alignment and to aggregate common capabilities demand that drive cost-effective platform enhancements
* Maintain an up to date, detailed understanding of key business processes, technologies, as well as, Business and IT strategy
* Assist with the operational and commercial relationship management of third party suppliers
* Contribute to the development of global policies and programs to support and develop the business and ensure effective implementation in own area
* Has primary accountability for the business applications/systems delivered to support Information and Analytis, including support and maintenance and enhancement project/programs
