An experienced Software Development Manager is required for my busy and rapidly growing market leading client in Nottingham. This is an exciting, dynamic and challenging position where you will manage the development team in delivering the organisations innovative web and mobile based enterprise software solutions to UK based customers.|
You will assume direct managerial responsibilities for the growing development team and any external resource, managing the software application development, ensuring effective testing and transition through to customer delivery and BAU support.
You will work across the full lifecycle of development, prioritising the workload, ensuring effective procedures are in place, highlighting and mitigating any issues, risks, bottlenecks, etc. Development follows an AGILE methodology and you will engage with internal staff, third parties and customers in managing the project workload, guiding and supporting the team in delivering high quality software to the customers live environment.
The technology stack is C#.NET with SQL Server, MVC, JQuery, Ajax, CSS and HTML. The ideal candidate will have a solid development background, bring relevant management experience and successfully apply themselves to this progressive opportunity. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong development team management
- .NET development background
- Strong all round IT Project Management experience - Prince 2
- Experience of delivering key development projects, managing implementations and upgrades ideally web applications.
- Strong understanding of AGILE application development methodology.
- Understanding of general system architecture
- Supplier management of third parties
