• Drive and implements continuous improvement and problem solving activities, supporting / leading the production team in delivery of operational targets safely, efficiently and reliably to the required quality standards.
• Ensure WIP / Kanban systems are maintained
• Ensure that 5S is maintained in the process
• Observe any abnormality with equipment / tooling / fixtures and react to prevent interruptions to standard flow
• Ensure that 5S / TPM / prestart routines are maintained
• Identify opportunities for set up reduction - execute plans
• Observe any abnormality in manning relative to standard requirement
• Adjust manning to meet takt requirement - obtain support as required
• Address absence issues
• Ensure everyone is clear about their standard work requirements and communicate any issues as appropriate e.g. Company information, quality, output etc
• Create and maintain standard work - observe any abnormalities - fix
• Constantly audit process - observe, seek out 7 wastes
• Maintain DASH boards

• Proven experience of managing teams of up to 20 staff in an Aerospace / Automotive or similar production environment
• Demonstrate practical application of lean / continuous improvement techniques
• Demonstrable experience of developing teams through performance and where necessary following a disciplinary process
• Good scheduling skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
• Experience working in a lean organisation
• Understanding of H&S systems and the ability to identify and resolve safety issues
