Technical Sales/ Project Estimator|
Lamonby recruitment are recruiting for a Technical Sales/ Project estimator to work for Our client is one of the leading fabricators of Stainless Steel and Nickel Alloys in the United Kingdom. They produce a wide range of stainless steel fabrication products that are tailor-made to client specifications, including Pressure and Storage Vessels, Chemical Dosing Skids, Skid Mounted Package Units, Vortex Mixers, Oil Separation Columns, Scrubbers, Hoppers and Specially Machined Parts. These products are supplied to many sectors including the Chemical, Nuclear, Oil & Gas, and Pharmaceutical.
We are currently looking for a Technical Sales/ Project Estimator to join our existing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing tender documents, specifications, scope of work, and project's schedule in order to develop the bid cost estimate and price detailed summary for project fabrications. Candidate will need to have the ability to read and interpret Technical Drawings, Specifications, Bill of Materials, and Data Sheets provided by the client in order to calculate costs, including labour, material and subcontract operations.
The possession of analytical skills and problem solving abilities are paramount to this role along with the ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, IT skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt to change. The successful candidate will be a self-confident team player.
Technical Sales / Project Estimator Role:-
Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements;
Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs;
Calculating quotations from technical drawings and specifications;
Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services;
Job Management ensuring job specific costs and sales are controlled;
Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts;
Helping in the design of custom-made products;
Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team.
Negotiating & Purchasing material from suppliers.
Candidates who are from a Pressure Vessels background, with skills including CAD and Calcs, and have knowledge of ASME, ASTM, NACE will have a distinct advantage.
There is a minimum requirement of 2 years' experience in a practical environment.
£25,000+ Per annum (Dependent on ability)
