This leading developer and manufacturer of original equipment for Audi, BMW, Fiat, Mercedes, Opel, Renault and VW, are recruiting NOW for a Contract Maintenance Engineer to work a 3 month ongoing contract at their site in Telford. You will ideally be electrically bias and have knowledge of maintaining injection moulding machinery. In return, they offer an hourly rate of £20PH LTD compnay.

As Maintenance Enigneer, you will:-
Carrying out the repair and maintenance of production machinery, ensuring any work carried out does not affect product quality, but improves machine availability
Carrying out Preventative Maintenance requests from schedules and frequencies on all machines, processes and injection moulding machinery
Liaising with manufacturing when quality problems occur, and to implement Kaizen activities to improve availability, cycle time, changeover, OEE overall equipment efficiency, and quality.
Identify cost down opportunities i.e., repair first rather than fit new parts
Ensuring PPE is worn correctly, and risk assessments and safe systems of work are followed

The Suitable Candidate:-

Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Engineer, Electrically Biased, from a high volume production equipment, assembly line environment, ideally Automotive Industry related
Apprentice Trained Electrically, C&G, NVQ3 or equivalent experience
Experience of maintaining plastic injection moulding machinery
Knowledge of PLC and computerised control systems and interfaces
Knowledge of servo control systems
Experience of working on AC and DC voltages from 5 to 415V 3 phase
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and vacuum systems
Able to set up machine components to a fine tolerance
