Their Fire Engineering teamâ€™s mission is to play a key role in making sure that a buildingâ€™s fire protection systems not only comply with the relevant legislation, but also provide a safe environment in the most cost-effective manner, without compromising the architectural integrity of the overall building design. The Fire Engineering teamâ€™s expertise in the design and development of active fire protection systems is well known throughout the industry â€" and as a team they offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Fire Engineer to join their Birmingham office, to play a key role in the delivery of fire engineering design services across a variety of sectors including healthcare, education, retail, commercial and critical systems.
In this particular role you will take responsibility for the design of fire protection systems including sprinklers, wet/dry risers, gaseous fire suppression, water mist sys-tems and fire detection in accordance with relevant standards.
Your role be crucial to the successful delivery of innovative design solutions for some of the most exciting building projects in the UK and internationally, and over time will enable you to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop.
Educated to degree level in a related discipline, you have gained relevant experience in Fire Engineering design within a building services context (i.e. sprinklers, wet/dry risers, gaseous fire suppression, water mist systems etc), and have proven your technical understanding in relevant design software.
Having gained practical experience in working to NFPA, IBC, British Standard & Performance based design codes, you understand the role of fire engineering for the built environment, and have a passion for providing excellence in fire engineering design.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills are essential
