An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced, capable and pro-active Health and Safety Advisor based in Basingstoke on a full time, permanent basis.
My client is a successful and growing construction and development group, who operate on a national basis.
They are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor who is an excellent listener, and has the ability to be unbiased.
You will be based in South Central England, operating out of Basingstoke in this Health and Safety Advisor role.
This is a newly created role, where the ideal candidate will support the growth of their Main Contractor Construction Business Divison, specialising in residential and commercial new build projects with a value of up to around £5m.
As a Health and Safety Advisor you must be able to work autonomously and travel to a number of construction sites throughout South Central England.
You will work closely with business managers, visiting a number of sites within the local area, to give site based guidance and advice, promote awareness on site and provide audits for new projects to ensure safety standards are upkept.
The role will also include subcontractor management and Health and safety documentation and training.
You will provide health and safety advice and coaching to the workforce on site.
You will work with a multi-disciplined and highly skilled workforce.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity my client is looking for a Health andSafety Advisor with a minimum of a NEBOSH certificate for construction and an NVQ level 4 for Occupational Health and Safety.
The perfect candidate will have previous experience working with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 principle contractors or a strong construction industry background.
A candidate who is either Tech IOSH qualified or working towards a qualification would be ideal.
You must have strong communication skills and be IT literate. As the Health and Safety Advisor you will be required to act on behalf of my client and represent the company when liaising with contract.
