A well-established leading mechanical and electrical contractor in the UK is looking for a HSE Officer to join their existing team. They deliver and install mechanical and electrical equipment on a large scale as a sub-contractor, main contractor or principle contractor dependant of the project. Most of their projects predominately focus in the rail infrastructure sector, installing HV/LV, cabling, trench works, rail, lighting, ground works and overheads. It could also be station works or in the built environment installing traffic signage, security & access control or maybe air handling units & ventilation fans, the list is endless, they cover a wide variety.
This is a real site based role and the client is seeking evidence of experience working successfully with a range of operational teams and hold good technical knowledge to.
The role itself is supporting site based construction teams travelling to sites in Greater London. This role will find you conducting accident and incident investigations and audits so experience in this will be needed as well as have strong level of knowledge in management systems and Health & Safety legislation.
Minimum Health & Safety qualification is NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction Certificate, NCRQ or equivalent, but must be able to demonstrate strong practical health and safety experience, on construction building sites as well as strong influencing skills and willing to learn.
They are keen to develop and train, CPD they are very supportive.
