One of the UK's larget construction companies is seeking a qualified and experienced Utilities Coordinator to fulfil the role of checking and issuing permits on our Norwich Northern Distributor Road project.|
The NNDR is Construction of a new highway running west to east, to south, between the A1067 Fakenham Road and the A47 Trunk Road at Postwick, including improvements to the existing highway network to the north and north east of Norwich including associated works such as provision of new private means of access, drainage and landscaping.
The competence of the Utility Coordinator (and Deputies) will be based upon experience of working with underground and overhead utilities;
knowledge of utility owner systems and procedures
understanding utility drawings
understanding Company procedures
technical ability to use underground utility location equipment
understanding the dangers associated with underground utilities and training which involves visual demonstration of the consequences of cable strikes including IOSH Avoiding Underground Utility course (IOSH) or New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) Supervisor card.
Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Engineer or Site Manager
Previous utility or permit coordinator experience
RD8000 and TX3 Training
Supervisor or IOSH avoiding underground utility
This role comes under the CIS - Construction Industry Scheme and so all applicants that apply (if through a limited company) must have a company UTR number.
