CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Controls Technician to join the team located in Ware. The successful candidate will have a strong PLC bias in their skill set and will be working on high speed Machinery used for :- Assembly Of Pharmaceutical Devices, Isolators and Micronising Technology, Environmental Monitoring ( Utilising Temperature, Humidity and Pressure devices. Calibration and Instrumentation will be a major aspect of the role, experience is required.

Role Summary:

• Identification of development needs and continuous improvement to meet requirements of the role
• Utilization of current Appraisal & performance management system.
• Engagement with communication tools used for dissemination of relevant site information (eg safety talks, tool box talks, PDRs)
• Implementation and use of current and emerging IT platforms for Compliance, Safety and Operation of all plant
• Report accidents and Near Misses using established site systems
• Deputise for C&I Lead in times of absence
• Undertake calibration and maintenance tasks in line with current SOP requirements
• Utilisation of Beamex system to assist in site critical device maintenance
• Generation and maintenance of device master lists
• Respond to and report on daily Stability room deviations
• Fault diagnosis and rectification to device level on plant and equipment
• Compilation and escalation of reports and plant data to Team Leader
• Generate and maintain site critical alarm database
• Proactive management of work orders incorporating BDM/Planning/OWA/6 week look ahead against agreed benchmarks (KPI's/TLR etc), and a full review of PPM for suitability.
• Lead the Generation of RCA's and A3 investigations
• Proactive Management of EH&S
• Generation and resolution of OOR's / CAPA's. and Audit findings as required
• Ensure high level of housekeeping in areas of responsibility (5s radar charts, GEMBA etc)
• Utilization of General Permit to Works (GPTW)
• Attendance at Safety meetings when required
• Generation of Internal Purchase Orders
• Assist with Third party Management duties appertaining to reference instrument calibration
• Management of finance in the following areas
• Completion of Overtime request forms in a timely manner and subsequent timesheet submission
• Materials/consumables requisitions after first obtaining quotes for approval
• Cost avoidance and Cross charging (in- scope/out of scope, LCAM)
• Change Management
• Focus on the following to embed culture ownership on:
• ADP (Accelerated Delivery Programme) Concept and principles (A3, RCA, 9 Box priority and action planning)
• Promote flexibility and agility within team
• Cross area and cross site support where required to meet specific task requirements
• Generation of skill GAP Analysis and promotion of operational solutions
• Self audits and corrective actions from external audits
• Reviewing and recommendations for modification of SOP's and work orders
• Working in liaison with all central support functions (SMW/CP)
• Contribution to local and site Comcell / daily huddle meetings as and when required
• Attend meetings with customers and end users as and when required
• Identification of works outside of SLA scope to Team leader (BRF / LCAM)
• Lead the generation and submission of continuous improvement ideas
• Ensure that all Work Orders are completed within contract metric timelines.

Experience Required:

• Formal Controls/Instrumentation Bias apprenticeship
• Worked within Automated Industry
• PLC experience essential
• Pharamaceutical Indusry
• Food Processing Industry
• Previous experience in building services ( Desirable)
• HND level of education expected for role..
