Bid Executive / Bid Writer - West Midlands - Salary Range: £28,000 to £30 000 per annum

A National company, in the top 5 within their arena is looking for a Bid writer/executive to join their enterprise team.

The role is to co-ordinate the formal bidding process of all Business Development activities in all relevant (url removed)-ordination of the Project Team for individual bids and management of the internal process to submission. Bespoke bid writing and controlling quality of output. Responsible for timely and compliant submissions. Engagement with the Bid Management Administrator to support continued development of best practice bid library.

Primary Duties and responsibilities:

Bid writing and Response Document creation

* Qualification of notification against the published bid matrix
* Logging and administration of all PQQs and ITTs
* Facilitate Go No Go collating views of all key stakeholders to create sound business case
* Devise the bid plan timetable and responsibility matrix, facilitating team adherence to process
* Ensure legal and financial risk assessments completed on time
* Arrange bid kick off meeting and facilitate strategy sessions
* Manage portal communications proactively and accurately sharing knowledge with key stakeholders as appropriate
* Translate the sales strategy, win themes and differentiators into the bid materials in order to maximise competitive
* Apply bid intelligence demonstrating strategic understanding of the customer to whom we are bidding
* Compiling and editing narrative input from bid team
* Ensuring corporate requirements are met by managing and executing the bid response
* Facilitation of post bid reviews/face to face client debriefs
* Management and analysis of customer feedback, proactively sharing learning's with stakeholder group
* Manage the production of presentation materials providing guidance and advise to the team as appropriate
* Client facing presentation of bid proposal upon downselect where required
* Maintain accurate bid records updating on a weekly basis
* Effective and Efficient Management of the Bid Process
* To ensure the completion of each tender on its own merits responds to the specific requirements of that customer coordinating specialist input from around the business
* To ensure the tender response is submitted in line with the specific requirements of the tendering Authority.
* To ensure the effective communication of all contract wins/losses/shortlists to the Head of Bid Management and peer group positioning

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in the below areas.

* Good experience of public and commercial tender process
* Excellent creative writing skills
* Degree level or equivalent experience of business writing
* Strong corporate presenting skills
* Demonstrable record of winning tenders/meeting targets
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Effective organisational and record keeping skills
* Proven ability to meet deadlines
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Willingness to learn new skills
* Good understanding of contracts management
* Completer/finisher - has a great capacity for follow through
* Ability to present and communicate to senior management
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft suite software (powerpoint & publisher preferred but not essential)
* Excellent time management skills
* Willing to work flexible hours to accommodate deadlines on bid submissions
* Leadership of virtual teams
* Great interpersonal skills
* Decision making and problem solving skills


* BA or BSC hons or demonstrable equivalent
