Job Summary:

You will have the opportunity to continue shaping and improving the test team and test infrastructure. You will lead a team of test and systems integration engineers to develop high level test plans, manage test tasks and reporting on progress back to the senior members. You will join our fast-growing team in this exciting area and work closely with our development team to help us build the technologies that will reshape the energy system. You will need to have a keen eye for detail and willingness to explore that ensures quality to be delivered as a matter of routine.

Skills and Experience you will have:

* Good degree in a relevant technical discipline (Computer Science, Physics, Maths or Engineering).
* Proven experience in managing a multi-disciplined test team covering automated testing in:
* Modern test frameworks such as Python, Junit, JMeter, Jenkins, Siesta, Cucumber, Selenium, TestLink.
* National Instruments hardware and software platforms, understanding and practical experience of design patterns and principles.
* Proven experience working in an agile environment as part of a team.
* Excellent communication skills, motivation, attention to detail and be a self-starter.
* Experience of managing/leading a team.
* Experience in writing comprehensive test planning and reporting documentation.

Useful Skills and Experience:

* Knowledge of debugging network traffic configuration (for example Wireshark).
* Practical electrical and electronics understanding and debug experience.
* Knowledge of testing software written in core Java (as opposed to Android-type Java).
* Knowledge of using Linux command line and (bash) scripting.
* Experience of testing a wide range of scenarios including user interfaces, client-server platforms and embedded systems.
* Experience with version control systems (e.g. git) and ideally code collaborations systems such as Gerrit.
* Practical electrical and electronics understanding and debug experience.
* Practical experience in instrumentation & control, industrial automation or functional test systems development.
* A minimum of five years of industry experience in a similar role.
