Project Manager - e-Commerce / Multi-Channel


Up to £80,000 basic + bonus + company car (or allowance)


Our client is one of the UK's most successful retail stories of the last decade. Over the last 5 years, it has experienced significant growth and possesses a loyal and expanding customer base. As a result of this success, it is now ready to embark on the next phase of it's evolution involving a number of major change projects including the establishment of a multi-channel offering embracing the very latest e-Commerce and web technologies.

The Role

The Project Manager will join the Change Management team and play a key role in the delivery of the company's highest profile projects that sit within the five-year strategic plan. That plan includes the delivery of a new transactional website and the optimisation of that site over an 18-month period. The role will then deliver the ongoing project agenda to further develop the multi-channel proposition. Whilst there is a significant initial focus on e-Commerce projects, the PM is also likely to work on key projects in other areas.

Essential skills and experience required

•Educated to Degree Level with strong A Level grades
•Significant experience within Project Management which has been gained in a challenging multi-channel retail environment
•Significant experience in project managing all aspects of the delivery of a highly responsive transactional website
•Experience of business and organisational change in an e-Commerce environment.
•Experience of working with a large scale ERP system (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX)
•An understanding of consumer credit regulation and compliance
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Strong presentation skills
•The ability to make incisive and pragmatic decisions in the context of a fast growth environment.
•Able to identify opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change
•Knowledge and application of a structured methodology in a variety of project sizes
