Applications Manager / Development Manager required to join leading Financial Services Company in Redhill. This role is a key appointment to transform the way they deliver their applications to the business. The desire is to formalise their agile approach and improve development and change management.|
The ideal candidate will have worked in a Management role and have a technical background in software development environment including: - C#, .NET, MVC, HTML, VB & SQL Server, system integration including API's & web services working with Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
Ability to design & conceptualise solutions, acting as the interface between development & customers, developing CRMs, websites such as Extranets, e-commerce, customer portals and mobile applications. Experience in a digital transformation programme advantageous along with knowledge of UX & UI design, payment solutions.
You will be responsible for: -
Managing the development and BI team.
Oversee the full software development lifecycle and ongoing modification of all software applications.
Work with operational and business managers to understand the full range of existing and new development requirements and promote practical and innovative solutions.
Defining the target application landscape moving the business away from legacy platforms & promoting modern technology & approaches.
Define application roadmaps incorporating Digital solutions where suitable
Improve team processes in all areas introducing techniques and methods in line with the Agile framework.
Plan & oversee Business Objects solutions to meet the reporting requirements of the business.
Contribute to the IT budget & manage associated development related investments.
Various applications are used to deliver services, these vary in technology from internal legacy applications, extranet portals, e-commerce sites and mobile applications. The vast majority need to be maintained for use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year across this Enterprise environment.
