Do you have experience of designing infrastructure solutions? Do you hold Cisco Qualifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE)?
The successful applicant will be certified to CCNA standard as a minimum and ideally hold additional qualifications such as CCNP. Any other related and relevant certifications would also be considered. An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious network infrastructure professional to join a rapidly growing global service provider based in Worcestershire. The company offer strategic ICT infrastructure and data centre solutions and are seeking an Enterprise Network Practice Lead (Senior Systems Engineer) to join their expanding engineering team. You will be involved across the full project life cycle, with responsibilities including, but not limited to: attending client meetings as a technical expert and to become seen as a "Trusted Advisor"; creating and executing project work plans and revises; troubleshooting, issue resolution and fault escalation; liaising with 3rd party suppliers and other stakeholders; minimise risk within projects; adhering to SLA requirements; producing and maintaining accurate project documentation.
You will have a proven track record in a similar job, with a strong technical background in either Alcatel-Lucent and / or Cisco Networking, with extensive client facing experience. It is expected that you will have experience of delivering service excellence within a high value environment and be comfortable installing solutions remotely and onsite at customer location. You should have a good understanding of advanced routing protocols such as EIGRP and OSPF as well as knowledge of technology used in campus LAN switching such as VLANs, Spanning-Tree, EtherChannel and Ethernet. It is expected you will have excellent all round networking skills - troubleshooting, TCP/IP, Subnetting - as well as experience with Quality of Service configuration, implementation and troubleshooting. Given the nature of the role, experience working in an Enterprise scale environment is vital and any knowledge of security, remote access technologies and Wireless LAN would be advantageous.
