Leading off-highway vehicle manufacturer is looking to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer in Staffordshire. As a result of their continued business success and increasing worldwide demand for our Client's machines, we are seeking a Design Engineer to play a key role in the successful development and launch of 'Next Generation Cabs' across various critical machine platforms in the coming years. |
With backgrounds in interior/exterior plastics, surfacing, general mechanical structures, HVAC or operator ergonomics, successful candidates will join a dynamic engineering design team at an exciting and strategically important time.
Typical responsibilities include:
Concepts development and design feasibility studies.
Design detailing, BOM compilation and drawing release.
Prototype build support and testing.
Ownership and delivery of projects.
Liaison with internal and external customers and suppliers on project briefs and activity.
Responsible for producing design solutions utilising both UK and overseas resources based in India.
Excellent opportunity to develop engineering skills in design and manufacturing awareness and to progress further within the Company.
Be educated to Degree/HND level in mechanical engineering or have equivalent experience.
Have demonstrable design / product development experience.
Have a good knowledge of CAD & associated supporting software.
Be able to demonstrate enthusiasm, influence change and to communicate effectively to all levels of the business.
