The Company

Designs and builds equipment for the medical, defence, aerospace, industrial, marine, motor sports & petrochemical sectors.

The Role

Some potential for managing development projects is important. The successful candidate will be of a cheery, robust and outgoing character; suited to working in a team and interacting with other Zettlex and customer staff in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Attention to detail and an analytical approach is also important.
Depending on the candidate's experience, duties will include some of the following:-
 creation of detailed technical specifications for product design and test
 carrying out design and technical reviews / feasibility studies
 management of the specification, design, build and qualification of prototype components, sub-assemblies and products
 technical liaison with sub-contractors and component suppliers
 creation of product documentation in support of manufacturing and sales
 test design, testing and test reports for product qualification & production acceptance.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will be at least degree qualified in electronic, electrical, mechanical or software engineering with > 5 years industrial experience in a high-spec, quality controlled environment such as defence, aerospace, medical or oil & gas sector. Experience of being a member or managing development teams is essential and experience of some of the following would be useful:-
 Development and qualification of electronic, electrical or precision mechanical equipment
 Formal engineering processes and technical documentation to a high standard
 Structured engineering methods such as FMECA, MTBF, Fault Tree Analysis etc.
 Development of equipment which operates using embedded software
 Safety related or safety critical engineering - possibly involving external certification.

The Package

To £55k/year + company profit-share bonus

Occasional travel in UK, W. Europe & possibly N. America (<10>
37½ hours/week
