Our client has a requirement a Technical Sales Engineers in their Marine & Power Solutions Division.

The Territories: Southern UK (Below Birmingham) and Eire

Our client is a 1 billion turnover business which designs, manufactures, markets and services powertrain products and systems for leading global equipment manufacturers, helping its customers keep the world running efficiently, reliably and safely.

The Sales Engineer is a key role within the company, and involves liaison with customers, understanding and interpreting their requirements and offering solutions on the companies portfolio of marine and power products.

Ideal Experience is in the sales of Gearboxes, Controls, Driveshafts, Clutches etc

Salary - £(Apply online only) plus OTE and Benefits Package

These are home based roles.

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Engineer - Marine & Power Solutions

Presenting 'One Face to the Customer' and implementing the strategy of the business.
Accountable for achieving the sales target
Working within the Industrial Market to generate growth through new profitable sales with existing and target customers
Identify and open new opportunities.
Maximising product offering to existing customer base
Develop and maintain successful working relationships with technical decision makers
Secure specifications through promoting technical benefits
Liaise with manufacturing sites, mainly in Europe to ensure the correct product solution(s) is offered
Working intimately with customers from concept to completion.
Managing your order pipeline, reporting and forecasting future business
Maintaining the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
Utilising the organisational support including; Product Managers and Specialists, Internal Sales and Customer Service departments

Role Specific Capabilities, Knowledge and Experience of the Sales Engineer - Marine & Power Solutions:

Knowledge of powertrain and drive technology advantageous as would exposure to power transmission / technology sectors
Well developed project and task management experience
Methodical and accurate with an attention to detail
Good team worker with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written across all levels
Experience of working within a culturally diverse, international organisation
Experience of working with CRM packages
Fluent in English language.

Formal qualifications:

Qualified Mechanical Engineer preferred or experienced understanding of powertrain products and systems
Post qualified experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent
Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software essential - particularly Outlook and Excel

Other key internal relationships:

Product Specialists, Market Managers, Internal Sales Engineers and customer service at the relevant manufacturing facilities
