We currently have a vacancy for an Engineer based at the St Neots site. The main focus of the role is to achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the Line Manager. It is also to provide break down cover for all production machinery and to provide planned preventative maintenance on all production machinery.

Main duties will include but are not restricted to:
• Respond to machinery break down requests from Supervisors and Managers in production
• Prioritise break down requests in line with production requirements
• Provide relevant break down information to the Operations Manager as and when required
• Provide holiday cover in line with production agreement, and provide sickness cover (working or call out) where possible)
• Following maintenance work ensure the area affected is left in a clean and tidy state, in line with company hygiene policies. Work in accordance to the company’s health and safety policy at all times
• Input orders of parts correctly onto Prism in line with company policy
• Source cost effective suppliers of machine parts to assist in cost-saving
• Ensure the security of all tools
• Maintain good housekeeping

You must have the following skills:
• Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all times
• Great attention to detail
• Organised and calm under pressure
• Friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player
• Proactive, positive, enthusiastic - demonstrates “can do” attitude
• Travel may be required therefore current, clean driving licence an advantage
• Experience of sheet-fed machines is essential
• Good attendance and timekeeping
• Ability to multi-skill between electrical and mechanical tasks
• Knowledge of the carton packaging industry (litho or flexo) would be an advantage
• Flexibility in their approach
• Good organisational and self-motivational skills
• Ability to work on own initiative without supervision
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages would be an advantage
• Knowledge of Prism, although training will be provided
• To provide out of hours call off cover for the business
