You will be working for a well-established company who has been trading for over 50 years as heating, ventilation and air conditioning contractor. The company deal with the whole process from the design to installation and service and maintenance of the systems in commercial and industry environment. The company turns over £20 million pound per year and can offer get career progression. The company are looking at expending further with in the industry.

They are looking for a contract manager to join their expanding team. You daily work routine includes managing, supervising overseeing, programming of engineering resources. Ensuring the profitability and cost expenditure of each contract is maintained, but in all cases ensures that every contract signed benefits the company.

The contract manager needs to be able to provide responses to bids, proposals and contract negotiations. Develop a set standard contract for the company. Ensure compliance all laws and regulations and company policies and procedures; ensure that all contracts are executed in accordance with company guidelines. Audit existing contracts and oversees contract modifications and variations. Visit client sites and meets with client, architect, consultants and sub-contractors. Monitor the performance of each signed contract. Ensure that contracts are in line with company goal and objectives. Prepare reports on the status of contract for management. Train and supervises other contract staff. Maintain a computer database for the company's contract management system.

Ideally you will have
• Possess a knowledge of contract law and regulations
• Exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Possess excellent persuasion, negotiation and judgment skills
• Working knowledge of financial analytics and profit and loss implications
• Possess strong leadership skill
• Have excellent technological knowledge
• Have knowledge of all necessary by laws, regulations and code relating to commercial pipework, duct work and plant installations (including gas, water services, LTHW and CHW)
• Experience within mechanical contracting business
• Experience within commercial business administration
• Experience within mechanical contract management, within commercial business turnover of £10million, managing multiple contracts £25K to £800K
