Contract Supervisor - New Contract

Role Summary

My client is currently looking for a Building Services Supervisor to work on a brand new contract. You will be based on-site our high profile client's headquarter in London's Southbank. The Building Services Supervisor will assist and support the Engineering Manager in all functions, to ensure Health and Safety and contractual compliance. They are looking for a candidate who is looking to progress in the future.

The main responsibility is to supervise all aspects of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance, Project Works and Help Desk The Building Services Supervisor will take the lead role in small works and minor projects. The Client is looking for someone who can step to a contract managers position quite quickly.


•Responsible for the day to day running of contract requirements and organising the site team in order to meet contractual agreements

•Ensure all training requirements of the shift and day teams are met

•Assist in the preparation of emergency and contingency plans

•Oversee all contract activities, both maintenance and projects and ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements

•Supervising staff including all full-time, part-time, sub-contractors and specialist providers

•Comply with all procedures and maintain clear & legible records as required

•Responsible for attending or managing emergency call-outs and for providing written incident reports as required

•Carry out staff appraisals for Engineers and setting out training and development programs

•Production and maintenance of a regional management succession plan ensuring all training and development requirements to maintain the plan are implemented

•Cooperate with office support staff and provide information as required


•Proven track record in a Lead Technician position

•Qualification in City & Guilds (Electrical Installation 2360) Parts 1 and 2 essential

•Experience in a supervisory role

•Ability to work to own initiative and as part of a large team with minimal supervision

•Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good oral, written and presentational skills

•Self-motivated and able to work under pressure to balance conflicting deadlines
