GDMS has an immediate opening for a Hardware Quality Engineer - Quality Professional II to join our team in our Scottsdale, AZ location. The position provides an opportunity to support the development of cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to ensure GDMS and client technologies are functioning as efficiently as possible. Hardware Quality Engineer - Quality Professional II Duties and Tasks:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent experience is required. In addition, a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883 or NASA standards certification is required within 30 days of hire. Quality Assurance person with little experience working as a contributor on one project. Primary purpose is to assure performance to existing processes and policies. Representing Customer and monitoring project or program performance including possibility of determining non-compliant hardware.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
