About the Role As a Senior Category Specialist you will provide procurement expertise for major civil engineering projects. Working with the supply chain you will manage Severn Trent's external expenditure to deliver optimum deals for Severn Trent. Main responsibilities are the contribution, development and implementation of the capital works sourcing strategy and frameworks, the sourcing of capital works, goods and services through our supply chain partners, ensuring compliance and managing suppliers performance, reporting and also cost tracking.
About You We are seeking an experienced procurement manager with a construction/civil engineering background. You will be experienced in working on large multi-disciplinary projects and will be skilled in gaining best value from the supply chain.
With a strong commercial and engineering background with an appropriate professional qualification e.g. CIPS or C Eng
you will have proven skills in supplier management and will have good knowledge of contract law, ideally with experience of the NEC terms of contract.
