Builds, troubleshoots, and tests electronic circuits, harnesses, and assemblies; creates and maintains documentation. |
Works with outside vendors and other organizations to obtain parts support, mechanical support, calibrations, etc. Assists with test and test procedure design.
Troubleshoots current products, circuits of advanced complexity, prototype electronic circuits, harnesses, and assemblies.
Develops test result report formats.
Prepares and conducts product demonstrations.
Generates documentation using appropriate application software.
Manages lab work requests; documents and administers workflows.
Completes schedules, planning, reviews, and releases.
Trains and leads other technicians and technical support specialists assigned to the lab.
Understands and applies appropriate company and department rules and guidelines to project work and to systems; participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.
Develops and conducts training programs, as well as provides counseling, mentoring, and coaching.
Serves as company representative in various capacities to customers, suppliers, and outside agencies.
Interacts effectively with all levels of employees throughout the company.
Exercises independent decision-making and initiative in determining what needs to be done and planning and implementing the needed activities.
Performs problem-solving, creative technical and analytical work, and budget management; coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking.
Demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness to changing work requirements and willingness to undertake new tasks as they become evident. Initiates, develops, leads, and participates in improvement projects.
Understands and complies with all safety policies and procedures and demonstrates confidentiality, as required.
Manages own work and maintains a flexible schedule in order to meet the demands of priority work.
Participates in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.
Plans and engages in continuous learning in preparation for changing work demands.
Travel as required.
Associates degree from an accredited program in electronics or related field and at least two years of relevant experience OR Bachelors degree in electronics or related field.
