We are looking for someone to start work A.S.A.P on our new job on the M1 J16-J19 Motorways.

Experience is essential, we are looking for someone who is highly motivated and dedicated. You will be working Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday. You will need a CSCS card, accommodation will be paid for if you live more than 50 miles away.


Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimise their work contribution.

Input into developing design, working methods, and programme and forecast costs with the Works Manager / General Foreman and Subcontractors / Suppliers identifying any inaccuracies or inconsistencies, and feedback any changes made to the QA and QS teams.

Develop programmes and forecast budgets, assess actual programme and productivity achieved and review weekly, taking action where appropriate, and reporting any changes to the project manager and QS department.

You will be requesting resources in a timely manner to ensure that they are readily available so it does not impede the construction programme.

Experience/ qualifications

At least 4 years, proven experience in civil engineering projects.

Capability to produce, implement and manage safe systems of work for construction procedures.

An understanding of the commercial issues in undertaking a large scale construction project.

Ability and confidence to discuss engineering issues with people across various levels and disciplines.

Exceptional knowledge of current civil engineering legislation as well as Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.

Able to read drawings and construct to them, work to a programme and keep written (and preferably electronic) records.
An understanding of Engineering Principles

Extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices.

Computer competence skills (MS Word, Excel, Document control system, software).
