The post holder will provide a data management service as part of a small team of ETL Developers to ensure that IT provides accurate and timely information to the Trust via its reporting systems. All processes are built upon Microsoft Azure SQL Server 20164 Business Intelligence Platform. The role requires the management, planning, requirements gathering, analysis, development, testing, and delivery with a project management framework.
The post holder is expected to manage and share the workload for the ETL Developers. The post holder will ensure that IT deliver robust data management procedures including data structures, processes and data flows to support the reporting requirements of the organisation, including full documentation. There is a requirement for information to be presented for the use in both report and dashboard formats.
The post holder will need implement ITIL good practice and change control processes to ensure high level of availability. The post holder needs to ensure that full total data quality management throughout the lifecycle of the data. This data quality framework will be routinely audited by external auditors to ensure data is of high quality and can be used with confidence.
*Developing and amending data models which the mirror the business requirements of the organisation and then developing auditable data flows which populate them.
*Ensuring that all developed work conforms the Trust Data Quality Assurance Framework ensuring that full documentation is available for audit.
*Participate or lead special information projects ensuring they are aligned to the key organisational objectives of the Trust, providing options and recommendations to support those objectives. Lead on the development of data quality monitoring tools and techniques to support the accurate reporting of all internal and external reports and lead on the development of reporting from the data warehouse.
*Ensuring the timely collection, analysis and presentation of accurate clinical and business data which can be accessed by a variety of data analytical toolsets. Sensitive data needs to be extracted and processed in accordance to the Data Protection Act and Caldicott principles
*Ensuring that all statutory information requirements are met including those of the Department of Health, Office of National Statistics, Strategic Health Authorities, Local Authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups.
*Supporting the trusts role in research and development by using specialist research methods. This may include the management of discrete projects.
*To work with clinicians and service managers to undertake analysis of business/care delivery processes, advising on how these might be changed or refined to improve their efficiency, and how such changes would be enabled by the appropriate use of information systems and communications technology.
*Link data sets using key data items enabling the production of holistic data sets.
*Develop new procedures and policies to benefit the ICT Business Intelligence service, identifying the benefits and any implications for the organisation.
*The post holder will assist in the provision of customer support, interfacing and maintaining business and Supplier relationships
