A 1st Line Support / Customer Services Technician is required for a 6+ month initial contract (likely to be long term) based near Fareham, Portsmouth, Hampshire.|
Working within the central helpdesk team of a busy IT and Customer Services Department, you will be providing general telephone support including 1st Line Support (Hardware & Software).
Responsibilities will include providing a high level of Customer Services including call logging / basic trouble-shooting - remote fixes and escalating more complex issues to the 2nd line support team. Call numbers are around 35 per day with a 60% first time fix rate.
This is an ideal position for someone who has come from either and IT background, IT qualification or a Customer Services background who is looking to progress their career within an IT environment. For this role you need to have basic computer / IT skills but full training will be provided on the IT systems. You will be working on a shift rota basis which will include working Monday to Friday (daytime hours only) and 1 in 2 Saturdays (40 hours per week).
This position is to start ASAP and has the potential to become a long term / perm role for the right candidate. This position will pay £10.25 + holiday pay (PAYE) or £13.25 (Ltd / Umbrella) per hour
