Permanent Gas Service Engineer ++++ Van, OT, Mobile Phone, Travel Time ++++ Covering the Mid Wales Area++++|
Our client is based in Preston; they employ over 120 engineers to provide services to clients across the North West and are expanding further. The majority of its workload is repeat business for clients developed steadily over a long period of time; working together to ensure the right technology is installed and maintained in facilities varying from schools through to computer centres, hospitals and retail developments.
Their technical expertise includes heating, electrical, air-conditioning, gas engineers providing a capability across all of a buildings systems. Completed installation projects are supported by teams of mobile service and maintenance engineers providing a planned preventative maintenance and 24 hour emergency call out service to their clients.
You will be working in commercial buildings carrying out service, maintenance and repair to a range of commercial systems. This will including gas service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair on the commercial gas systems including: commercial boilers and any auxiliary HVAC including AHU's etc.
You will be working on well-known hotel chains in the Mid Wales area; it's a mobile role so comes with a van (less than 3 years old), fuel card and PDA.
You will be working a basic 38 hour week but their current engineers generally work around 45 hours every week plus there is plenty of overtime available.
There is also a call out rota, out rota is generally 1 in 4, they pay you £70 per week for being on call, £40 per call out which includes the first 2 hours and then double time for anything after that.
You will also get travel time except for the first and last 30 mins of each day.
You may have one or all of the following:
• Experience in a similar field
• Commercial Gas
• Domestic Gas
• Commercial Catering Qualifications are preferred but NOT ESSENTIAL
• LPG and Oil Qualifications are preferred but NOT ESSENTIAL
• HVAC experience would be an advantage
• Driving Licence
