Role: Software Engineer (PLC's) |
Location: Commutable from Poole, Bournemouth, Blandford Forum, Southampton, Dorchester and surrounding areas
Salary: £32,000 - £36,000 + pension + overtime + 5 weeks' annual leave plus Bank Holidays, Pension scheme matching employee contributions up to a maximum of 5% of basic salary, Life Assurance (after qualifying period) + free parking.
Hours: Mon - Fri, finish around lunch-time on Fridays.

Working within a team Software Engineers, you will be working and assigned to a range of short/medium term projects across machinery, more specifically around writing PLC codes. The role will be relatively hands on as you will be heavily involved throughout the manufacturing process of each project.
•Development of software specifications with customer.
•Create functional design specification for software.
•Create software in most appropriate format and language.
•Bench test software before release.
•Commission software on and offsite.
•Manage updates with other commissioning engineers.
•Manage version control.
•Report back to management with progress and possible improvements.
•Work with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure requirements met.
•Feed time scales back to management team for costing and scheduling.
•Customer support with software issues.
•Systems and documentation development for manuals and training.
•Qualified Engineer - degree preferred
•Software design experience, specifically relating to writing PLC codes
•IEC61131 languages as well as having good Ethernet network
