Our client are a fast and growing company looking for someone to join the team as a service engineer. You will have finished an apprenticeship or be wanting to make progression in a second job.|
You will be required to carry out service visits at existing customer sites. This will involve driving the van to various locations and carrying out any service or maintenance work. As this will be customer facing work the candidate needs to have excellent communication and people skills, as well as being able to complete relevant documentation and report back what they have found. They will also be required to take service enquiry phone calls and troubleshoot as much as possible over the telephone. They must be organised and ensure they always have full stock of parts on their van to cover all eventualities and keep this up to date.
This is not a purely field based role and when service visits are not required, they will be required to assist in the factory building products alongside our production engineers.
The essential skill for this role is that the person must have Gas Save certification (or be very near to completion) and/or COMCAT.
We are a small team and therefore the successful candidate needs to be a real team player, be able to follow exacting instructions, be a good time keeper and flexible in their working hours (they must be prepared to drive long distances and stay the occasional night away). They need to take a real pride in their work as this product is a Class A piece of equipment and therefore our customer service level needs to be of the highest standard.
The candidate must have a full clean driving licence.
