Engineering PLC Trainer |
My client is a Control Systems and Automation firm employing more than 300 staff including many Control Systems Engineers, PLC Commissioning Engineers, Robot Programmers and Simulation Engineers. They are heavily involved in the Automotive, Airports and logistics sectors amongst others. There is a significant recruitment drive within the business and presently they are looking for an Engineering PLC/Control Systems TRAINER in their Bedfordshire office.
Responsibilities for the Engineering PLC Trainer include:
• To design, develop & deliver PLC software & hardware design courses
• To develop training manuals & documentation
• To continue to innovate the delivery methods of training with an eye on best learning outcomes
• To work closely with the group Training Manager and Controls Managers to ensure that training objectives are in line with the businesses wider objectives for skill development
We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer or Automation Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience who has a strong demonstrable track record in delivering control systems to a variety of environments and clients. In particular we are seeking those with experience of materials handling systems, as well as a selection of other possible experience such as conveying systems, automotive, logistics, baggage handling, special purpose machinery and palletising. It is essential that you are a good 'all-rounder' and be skilled in both Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley. Additional PLC platforms would be advantageous. We are also interested in those candidates that have some controls hardware general knowledge and experience too. A strong English language communicator is essential for this role. PLC programming and commissioning experience is essential for this role - maintenance or service only backgrounds will not have sufficient skills to match.
The Engineering PLC Trainer would particularly appeal to a Control Systems Engineer who wants to change from site based work to a single office commute. Hours are expected to be standard hours of 37.5 a week (possible earlier finish on Fridays). Candidates with training or supervisory experience would are also very welcome to apply.
This Engineering PLC Trainer role can be commuted from towns such as Luton, Bedford, Stevenage, Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Biggleswade and Northampton.
