We are seeking to source three Machine Technicians to work within the busy Production Engineering team. You will be responsible for the size changing, setting, routine maintenance, fault finding and hands-on repair of a variety of filling and packing equipment. The objective of the role is to improve performance, maximize reliability and extend the flexibility of the machinery and equipment.
This role would suit a recently qualified machine technician who is looking to develop their mechanical maintenance skills and put their knowledge into practice. Experience of working within a mechanical maintenance, Production Engineering environment and Manufacturing would be an advantage, but this is not essential as full specialist training will be given. To be considered for this role you must have one of the following:
•Completed a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship
•NVQ Level 3 in Engineering and at least two year's relevant experience
•BTEC Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering and at least two year's relevant experience
This is a great development opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual with a mechanical aptitude. You will be required to work on your own initiative as well as working within a team. They are looking for a passionate and driven person, with willingness to learn further.
You will be working on a weekly rotating shift pattern, the morning shift will operate between 6.00am and 1.36pm Monday to Friday. The afternoon shift will operate between 1.30pm and 10.00pm Monday to Thursday and between 1.30pm and 5.30pm on a Friday. Some weekend working may be required and you may be required to work nights.
