The Role - Applications Specialist (Pathology Lab Diagnostics)
Following expansion they seek to recruit a technically motivated and customer focused Applications Specialist responsible for providing customer training and technical support on a wide range of sophisticated medical and laboratory diagnostics systems, utilised within pathology departments and clinical chemistry environments.
In this challenging and highly rewarding role, you will liaise with clients and provide post sale customer training and valuable solutions for troubleshooting. You will liase with a whole host of external customer contacts, including Laboratory Managers and Laboratory Technicians, from within a range of independent scientific organisations and laboratories. You will be the interface between customers, the sales team and the global division, providing a first-class, results-orientated service. The role will involve being home based and travelling throughout the assigned region, with an average of two nights per week spent away from home and one day per week spent at home on administrative tasks.
Your Background - Applications Specialist (Pathology Lab Diagnostics)
To succeed in this exciting role you will be working as a biomedical scientist in a pathology / laboratory environment or in a technical support / applications specialist role using immunoassay, clinical chemistry or haematology analysers. You will ideally have a technical qualification, excellent interpersonal skills and be looking to further your career in the commercial sector with a market leading medical diagnostic manufacturer.
