Chubb is now seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Systems Service Engineer to work for our Cambridge Branch and cover the Southern part of East Anglia. We are ideally seeking candidates based within a commutable range of Ipswich who can easily travel further south, to parts of Essex.

The role will entail carrying out routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs and installations of Fire Detection, Fire Alarm and associated equipment and products, whilst continually promoting Chubb's products and services.

You will have gained a recognised Electrical or Electronic qualification and have prior experience of the installation or service of Fire Detection & Alarm Systems/ Emergency Lighting Systems. You will need a valid full Driving Licence and as your earnings will be based on bonus payments then an aptitude for proactive customer service/ sales will be required.

As a flexible, team player, you will be able and willing to participate in out of hour's standby and call out rotas with a good level of physical fitness as manual handling and working at heights will be involved. You will also be able to demonstrate the following qualities:- commercial awareness, problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, good presentation (ensuring company vehicle and uniform are kept clean and smart in order to always promote a professional image), ability to work on own initiative and a reasonable level of written & numeric skills.

This responsible role will entail planning and organising your own work programme, completing all appropriate documentation and complying to Health, Safety & Environment processes.

The basic salary for this position is guaranteed to £22,290 for the first six month in role, with £3,000- £4,000 of annual Call Out payments made in addition (minimum). Including overtime the successful candidate will be able to earn significantly more.
