WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has an immediate opening it its Portland, Oregon office for a full-time Senior Supervising Engineer to support its water/wastewater practice. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated seller-doer who will be responsible for managing infrastructure projects delivered through traditional and alternative delivery approaches, with an emphasis on stormwater management, drainage collection, conveyance systems, pipe condition assessment and rehabilitation, potable water, and sanitary sewer systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing team staff, providing client outreach and relationship management, and working cooperatively and proactively with other disciplines within the company.

Position Description
      • Develop and oversee analysis for stormwater and utility projects including studies, concept designs, preliminary, final engineering plan production, calculations, cost estimates, specifications, and other engineering related duties
      • Serve as a specialist in providing technical guidance for complex and unique assignments
      • Be a strategic technical leader in business development and client relationship building activities
      • Interact with clients on existing projects, and perform business development with existing and new clients

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Bachelors of Science degree in civil engineering
      • Current registration as a professional civil engineer (P.E.) in Oregon State
Experience/Skills Required:
      • Minimum of 15 years' experience in civil engineering, including management experience
      • Proven track record of leading and winning professional design services solicitations
      • Project design experience in the following areas:
          • Hydrologic and hydraulic design of stormwater systems, including water quality treatment and flow control facilities
          • Water supply and conveyance systems
          • Sanitary sewer conveyance systems
      • Self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
      • Experience in project management and leading project tasks related to water/wastewater discipline
Desired Qualifications:
      • Affiliations with professional societies and active industry and community involvement are highly desirable

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
