Our client has an exciting opportunity within their South Coast site. The established Design Engineering Team are responsible for the creation of drawings, bill of materials, and technical data in support of their entire product portfolio. |
3D CAD skills, Mechanical Engineering experience
The main function of this role will be to review and understand technical information, create and check technical solutions to appropriate level, communicate both internally and externally and ensure KPI’s are achieved.
Applicants will be required to use SolidEdge CAD system to produce 2D and 3D models, Microsoft office software to produce calculations, technical reports and presentations, to a level that can be given or presented to internal and external customers.
In addition a good knowledge of material mechanical / physical properties and a basic knowledge of the interaction of materials in a submerged environment are required.
The ideal candidate must be capable of working and carrying out their assigned workload within a dedicated team. In addition the Engineer may be required to support products at technical meetings with customers, which may involve international travel at short notice.
The Design Engineer must be educated to degree level (or equivalent) within an Engineering discipline.
