Are you an Application Support Analyst or Application Software Support Consultant with some experience of ERP or accounting software products? Maybe you are working in an internal ERP support position at an end user site and just dying to move into consultancy and get your teeth into clients' problems? If you would like to work in a cheerful, busy support team where you will learn to work on quite complex application software problems then this could be a great role for you. |
You DO need to have an understanding of ERP or accounting software (or something similar like DMS, Property or Construction software) and you need to have at least 6 months' experience in a software support job. They will pay between £20 and £25k depending on your skills and you will get buckets of training and will learn all about the Sage ERP X3 solution which will be a fantastic skill to add to your experience. Sage ERP X3 is widely regarded around the world as one of the best mid-market software solutions to hit the ERP software arena.
This job is to work for the longest running Sage ERP X3 reseller in the UK. Having got into the market very early they have done extremely well and have a wide range of existing clients. This job is to join their Application Support team of 4 people dealing with support calls and email requests from clients.
These problem requests are often based around new clients who are at the go-live stage of their software implementation, but can also be with existing clients who have suddenly hit a problem. The work here is very varied as the clients have quite complex ERP solutions covering all departments of their business, and the types of company vary tremendously, so no two support calls are the same.
This is a fun team, the Support Manager is always cheerful and laughing and the other team members that we know, are happy people who really enjoy their NA is not somewhere where you are going to find company politics interfering with your work, everyone gets on well.
There is a lot of bespoke code involved here, and often the support calls lead back to the programming code written in-house by their software development team (which is 6 strong). So if you have the ability to work your way through code and make a start on support issues yourself, that would be very beneficial, but this is by no means essential.
This could be a tremendous role for a Junior Application Support Analyst with some accounting or ERP software experience to learn, develop and grow into a seriously talented software support consultant. To find out more please contact us at Ambis Resourcing and we can fill you in.
