SALARY: £50,000-£55,000 + Bonus

The company have been established for over 20 years and are a specialist roofing and cladding contractor that provide a complete roofing service for commercial, factory, warehouse and industrial properties as well as having substantial experience in the areas of new build, refurbishment and maintenance and repairs.
After undergoing a strategic business review, they are now looking to strengthen their sales force with a high calibre professional sales individual, with a proven track record of selling commercial and industrial roofing services particularly into refurbishment projects.
JOB SPECIFICATION: Sales Manager - Construction / Building Products
This role has been created to support the substantial growth plans of the business for the next 5 years.
Reporting to directly to the Managing Director, you will be the commercial lead for the business. You will develop and deliver the commercial plan for the company as well developing new business opportunities and managing some of the companies Key Accounts. You will lead the organic growth of the company through strong and effective management of the sales and marketing activity, and be comfortable delegating responsibilities and demonstrating powerful leadership.
Whilst you will be based officially out of the Head office, the role will require frequent travel to customer/ project sites and offsite meetings. This is a senior level ambassadorial role for the company, establishing and building close relationships that provide distinctive access to high value, domestic projects.
REQUIREMENTS: Sales Manager - Construction / Building Products
You will need to be a natural forward planner who critically assesses your own performance and that of your whole team. Credible and comfortable in dealing with both internal and external contacts, reliable, tolerant and determined, you will also be an empathic communicator, well-presented and business-like.
We are interested in receiving applications from career-minded individuals with proven leadership skills and extensive sales and sales management experience. You will have a developed knowledge of the construction industry and an understanding of influencing and decision-making factors, you must be highly numerate and be able to demonstrate analytical and reporting skills that support high quality decision-making. If you have any knowledge of the Roofing Industry, that will be of particular interest. However that is not essential as they are happy to consider any application from professionals with knowledge of other construction products or solutions.
