Service Engineer (Medical Devices)

Position: Service Engineer
Location: South West - Covering Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall & South Wales
Job type: Permanent, Full Time, 45 hours per week + overtime
Salary: Competitive + overtime + car + meal allowance

Our client`s Service Division comprises of 80 field based Engineers located throughout the UK who are responsible for servicing their medical equipment in hospitals and laboratories including, autoclaves, washer/disinfectors, endoscope washers.

They are the global market leader in the medical device industry and part of an expanding and growing Group company. This is an excellent time to join their business as a Service Engineer in this busy, fast-paced position covering Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, Cornwall & South Wales.

You must have previous experience working in a similar role and be able to demonstrate the following skills:

-Qualified with a City and Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent CSCS (Service & Facilities) HVACR Skills Card.
-HTM2010 or HTM2030 qualifications are preferable.
-Electrical skills and mechanical fault finding skills.
-Previous experience in a maintenance environment, ideally within a medical, pharmaceutical or other process industry.
-Be self-motivated and work flexibly and under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.
-A knowledge of the principles of Health and Safety.
-Good IT skills including the use of Outlook and the ability to work with a laptop and smart phone.

As well as your technical skills, you will have excellent communication and customer service skills to enable you to provide the exemplary level of service they strive to offer. Therefore your personality, enthusiasm, energy and positivity are essential for them to build long term relationships with their Service customers and ultimately play a key role in driving the business forward.

You will be provided with an excellent package including competitive salary, overtime, company car and daily meal allowance. You will also be issued with a uniform, laptop, PDA, and iPhone. Upon commencement of employment you will undergo comprehensive training at their dedicated training sites in Cambridge and Mansfield.

-You will be required to provide your own tool kit however specialist test equipment will be provided.
-Due to the nature of the role an Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) Disclosure will be required (at the company`s cost).
-Applicants must live within a reasonable distance to the area covered.
-Occasional weekend work and stays away from home may be required.
-Full driving licence is essential to this role
