An Industry leading Engineering Services provider is currently looking for a Development Engineer. Salary up to £33,000 + Package. To be based out of the clients London Head Office.


Assist with the expansion of the clients energy schemes from initial contact with potential customers to early operational period, working closely with the Operations, Projects, Legal and Commercial teams.

Assist with the undertaking of district energy and related consultancy services (including engineering feasibility and commercial viability studies) as a means of developing relationships and projects, with support from the Project Engineering team


• Assistance with the expansion and improvement of our existing district energy schemes
• Carry out marketing activities and identify potential new customers
• Technical and commercial development of detailed proposals for new schemes and interfacing with resources from other parts of energy services (engineering, finance etc) including:
o Concept design development
o Operational and financial modeling
o Analysis of low carbon technologies
• Assistance with the co-ordination of development activities relating to our existing district energy schemes including;
o Maintaining and further developing business development processes
o Keeping up to date with policy changes and their influence on the business
o Develop and maintain relevant case studies
o Maintain up to date library of proposals, standard responses to queries etc


• Ability to interpret legal and technical agreements, extrapolate data and understand complex deliverables
• Ability to work / interface with a range of internal and external teams
• Excellent literacy skills and demonstrable delivery of high quality written reports and proposals
• Presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD


• Financial modeling of low carbon energy systems, district energy and combined heat and power
