An outstanding opportunity for a multi-skilled (electrically or mechanically biased) building services engineers to work in an IN HOUSE full rotating shift position direct for the British Government in the Westminster area of London. This position comes with an abundance of benefits, outstanding salary package and fantastic holiday allowances.
Working as part of large multi traded team, you will be responsible predominantly for the planned and reactive maintenance to electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment within a VERY HIGH SECURITY environment. (Because of this candidates must be prepared to undergo deep search security clearance, be a British Citizen and to have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 10 years). The kit on site consists of Power & lighting, control panels, motors, Air Handling Units, UPS, split A/C units, Fan Coil Units, Trend, VESDA, passenger lifts, boilers, Steam plant, pumps etc . It is also essential that you have an above average understanding of BMS systems. Because of the security issues the maintenance team have historically covered as much work internally as possible including small electrical projects and office moves and changes etc.
Candidates must be fully qualified electrically or mechanically with City and Guilds parts certification or equivalent. Ideally you should also have completed a full apprenticeship or similar training program. The position will come with extensive training opportunities for the successful candidates to enhance their academic qualifications
