About the role
The main focus of the Contract Delivery Technician is to support the development and be accountable for the delivery of programme activity using contract service providers. To do this you will need to be able to deliver refurbishment optimisation and replacement projects within the Infra and Non-Infra assets sections of the business, using processes in order to achieve operational improvements. Another part of the role is to ensure that Severn Trent Water is compliant with HS&W requirements and modification protocols. The role involves monitoring and supporting contractor's performance whilst dealing with any issues that may arise. Be able to plan and manage activities to help eliminate risks to the HS&W for our employees, contractors and also our customers. You will also be required to carry out spot audits on the contractor workforce, where you will challenge and question in order to promote a safe environment and working practices. In addition provide feedback on performance to ensure all resolutions to any issues are identified. Delivery of defined asset/process improvement projects through contract service providers, whilst implementing change and new initiatives.
You have proven experience with managing contractors and a proven track record of managing projects to cost, time and quality in the delivery of EM&I projects. Have good communication skills and be confident with report writing and data presentation. In addition you should also have an understanding of asset management, ISOH and managing contractor HS&W. The desired candidate should posses problem solving skills and be numerical and analytical minded. Other desired attributes are an expert user of SAP, ASM and P2A systems and a high level of financial understanding in order to manage capital block spending.
