Job Title: Technical Sales Executive/ Engineer
Location: Yate, Bristol
Rate/Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 DOE
Our client is an established and successful company that's growing. They are continuously investing in our people and our future both in a domestic and international market. They also provide a service facility to their customers throughout the UK as well as internationally, which means they can offer their customers a complete range of related products and services no matter what their requirements may be.
They require a Technical Sales Executive/Engineer to join our team in order to drive sales of their products and services to a varied industrial sector of customers. The focus of the candidate would be to maintain the current database of customers as well as to develop new business, primarily but not exclusively in the south of the UK. The role requires a dynamic sales person with a proven track record in industrial sales and or high value technical capital equipment sales.
The right person for this role will have a "can do" attitude, with energy and confidence and the ability to thrive in a technical biased sales environment.
Key Skills & Experience:
•Six GCSE A-B grade qualifications to include either a science or business related qualification.
•3+ year's relevant experience in a technical sales role
•Proven track record in closing sales and meeting sales targets
•Good written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
•A-level, HNC/HND or degree qualification in a science or business subject
•Experience with vacuum technology products
•Developing new customers who will benefit from our company's products or services and maximise customer potential in designated regions.
•Develop long-term relationships with customers through interpreting and managing their requirements.
•Generating leads, qualifying them and develop through to order.
•Manage existing customer's requirements, products and services.
•Understanding the customers need and establish the company's products or services that best meets the customer's requirements
•Responsible for representing the company's products and services at exhibitions, conferences or other marketing events.
•Responsible for representing the company's products and services at the customers premises, by providing technical presentations.
•Manage sales meetings and proposals, as part of the sales process
•Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
•Producing quotations and administering customer accounts.
•Providing after sales support and technical backup as required.
•Arrange and carry out product training.
•Preparing reports for analysis by the company Sales Director or Board of Directors.
•Attain and exceed regular sales targets
•Liaising with the sales team
•Liaising with sales representatives from the principle organisations that our client represents, or acts as a distributor for.
•Liaising with the design and engineering staff to ensure that customer's expectations are met.
•Required occasionally to travel overseas for training/exhibitions
