Our client is a proactive and dynamic company operating from a chemical process facility in Cheshire. |
They now seek to recruit an adept Engineering Manager primarily responsible for the management of the Engineering function on site, including all Maintenance aspects, Process design, Process safety, Control and instrumentation, Site Services and Energy and will lead the medium and long term strategic direction of these areas.
Reporting to the Site Director you will be responsible for all maintenance, asset reliability and projects within the manufacturing facility ensuring the maximum availability of production equipment. You will also play an active part in SHE management responsible for all site based compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Other responsibilities will include
Development of critical spares and long term Asset reliability strategy.
Coordination and management of all engineering expenditure, including project management, process safety and delivery of CAPEX programmes.
Management of in-house and contract engineering staff, and provide professional mechanical, control, electrical and instrumentation expertise to the site.
Responsible for recruitment, individual performance and career management and learning and development of Engineering staff.
Establishment and provision of best industrial practice and compliance to legislative and regulatory standards. eg Pressure systems, DSEAR.
Ideally educated to BEng level in an engineering related degree and ideally chartered you will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of all engineering disciplines with a broad engineering background, with detailed understanding of pressure systems, safety instrumented systems and DSEAR.
You will have gained your experience within the chemical manufacturing industry and have worked under the regulations of CoMAH with established experience of developing relationships with the regulatory bodies within this sector.
You will have a proven track record of good budgetary control and managing large capital expenditure projects and experience of managing technical and organisational change in an engineering environment.
