Our client is a world leading manufacturer of tracked and wheeled excavators ranging from 7 to 46 tonnes.
Job Location: Staffordshire
Job Position: Principal Development Engineer - Off Highway Machines
Job Status: Permanent
You will take development and test plans through to engineering sign-off and into production. This is a varied and exciting role that will include working out in the field, in test cells and office based.
Your work will involve controlling documentation, ensuring products conform and developing load and duty cycle information that reflects machine usage.
It will also involve coming up with ways to improve our test and validation process.
With reports to issue, standards to uphold and Service and Production departments to support, you'll have a busy role in a hard-working team.
Degree-educated (or equivalent) Engineer
You will be hungry for product knowledge and apply a flexible, hands-on approach.
Experience of developing Off Highway Vehicles would certainly be an advantage. However, it's good organisation and the ability to deliver development plans on time that will really make the difference.
Must have good communication skills and work within a team
Salary/Rate: £40,000 - £50,000
