Land Development Manager - Home Building
Location: South Western Florida
Salary: $(Apply online only) base salary + performance based bonus

Hamilton Mayer are presently conducting an executive search for an award winning volume builder, which constructs quality homes across the United States. This company approaches each home with a sharp eye, ensuring they select locations and amenities that fit their homebuyers' lifestyles. They want their buyer's homes to be a place where they can create a lifetime of lasting memories. This company is in a strong financial situation and is growing at an unprecedented rate.
* To effectively and efficiently coordinate the development of company-owned property to achieve business plans and financial objectives

* To create and manage land development budgets, monitor work and actively manage contracts and AP process

* To manage all components of the land development processes and schedule of all phases of those processes

* To secure the company's ability to deliver lots on time

* To play an integral role in the planning process for the jurisdictions in which the company operates, anticipating all possible requirements needed to secure building permits

* To understand design-related components necessary to satisfy governmental entitlement requirements


* 5+ years combined experience in the Home Building Industry or Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in land development experience required
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Civil Engineering, Planning or Construction Management required

* Strong leadership qualities. The ideal candidate should be able to objectively demonstrate they have led mid-large teams

* Ability to anticipate possible obstacles and propose favourable solutions

* Strong work ethic, detail orientated, and commitment to implement and execute a business plan

* Concise writing and public speaking/presentation skills

* Ability to read improvement plans, formulate budgets and understand accounting principles

* Strong computer and negotiating skills

* Ability to adjust to favourable to changes, design, schedule, etc.
