Bid Writer - Surrey Based Main Contractor Residential Sector|
The Business: A very well established Main Contractor operating across the UK. This particular division is operates across the London region on new build schemes, typically ranging in value from £20m to £60m. This family-owned business has demonstrated its stability having been established for over a century.
The Role: My client is on the lookout for a Bid Writer to work within the preconstruction team alongside the Estimating and Design departments, working on the compilation of tenders.
Location: Western Surrey
Salary Details: £30k - £35k basic depending on experience, plus pension, health care and travel expenses
Duties: Reporting into the Bid Centre Manager, the right individual will be responsible for the following:
-Compiling all information for tenders
-Information analysis and translation into appropriate prose for tender documentation
-Working with the graphics team to put documents together, ( so design capabilities are non-essential).
-Undertaking research and collating information from the technical team
-Liaising with the supply chain and clients
-Assisting with prequalification questionnaires, structure charts and CV writing
-And updating trackers and the database
Requirements: Appropriate candidates will be degree qualified and have an understanding of the construction market, ideally having worked with a Main Contractor. The ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form is essential. The role will be based in Leatherhead the majority of the time, with occasional visits to London.
