WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is seeking a hands-on senior project manager to lead a variety of rail and transit projects and tasks. The candidate will become a member of our growing rail and transit group in the Central states, and will work throughout the region with a focus on the Midwest. This is an opportunity to lead a variety of railroad and transit projects and tasks, including feasibility studies, preliminary and final design, program management, and construction oversight. A key area of responsibility will be managing and contributing to intercity and high speed rail initiatives requiring knowledge of rail design, highway/rail grade crossings, general understanding of train control, etc. The candidate must be capable of applying diversified knowledge of standard rail/transit industry-specific principles and practices. Candidate must have experience with intercity, commuter, and/or freight railroads, be strategic, and be capable of making decisions on significant problems and issues.

Major Duties :
      • Manage rail and transit projects
      • Manage staff and activities for a project of significant size and complexity
      • Develop and maintain strong client relationships
      • Lead proposals and pursuits
      • Manage tasks as assigned
      • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
Requirements :
      • Minimum 7 years of railroad and/or transit industry experience
      • Computer literate
      • Demonstrated verbal/oral skills
      • Strong technical writing ability
      • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships
      • Quality Control / Quality Assurance experience
Ability to work in this country immediately required.
