About the Business Line
Our team of environment specialists offers clients expertise in air quality, impact analysis and permitting, environmental health and safety management consulting/due diligence, remediation consulting/engineering and construction/site restoration, specialty and emerging technologies, waste services and water and natural resources.

Job Summary
The Environment Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Professional for immediate employment in either the Portland, OR office or Seattle, WA office. This individual will serve as a resource to an office of over 50 professionals in the areas of environmental site assessments, remedial investigation/feasibility studies (RI/FS), contaminated-soil and groundwater remediation plans.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
  • Support a wide range of environmental investigation and remediation projects under CERCLA, RCRA, and State jurisdictions
  • Support business development while also being responsible for the timely, accurate, and profitable completion of projects
  • Contribute directly to the preparation and review of technical project deliverables (e.g., work plans, remedial investigations, and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments)
  • Contribute on projects regarding technical approach, numerical analysis, cost estimation, planning, design, scheduling, staffing, budget management, quality control, and safety
  • Job duties will involve both field work and office assignments with occasional overnight travel required
  • Technical and financial project and task management

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental or related engineering/geology discipline
  • 5 years of related professional experience in environmental investigation/remediation of soil and groundwater
  • Demonstrated cost estimating and proposal preparation experience
  • Demonstrated CERCLA and RCRA knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with clients, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Solid oral, written, and presentation communication skills
  • Energetic and detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in environmental or related engineering/geology/hydrogeology discipline
  • Environmental Engineer with PE or Licensed Geologist with more than 8 years of environmental experience
  • Experience with site assessments, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, conceptual site models, and corrective action plans
  • Experience with preparing winning proposals
  • Business development experience
  • Experience with soil and groundwater investigation/remediation under CERCLA and RCRA
  • Experience with sediment, surface water, and soil gas sampling
  • Groundwater and chemical fate and transport assessment and modeling experience
  • Innovative approaches to problem solving
  • Current 40-hour HAZWOPER
