Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Licensed Architect for immediate employment for our office at Moffett Federal Airfield. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
  • Provide architectural support to AECOM engineers involved in various NASA engineering projects
  • Design and/or oversight of the architectural portions of these projects
  • Preparation of contract documents in AutoCAD without additional CAD support
  • Review engineering drawings for architectural components and coordination. Provide support as necessary
  • Provide review of RFIs and material submittals and other on-going support as needed

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 10 years' professional experience
  • Registered Architect (RA) with a significant background in industrial facilities
  • Proficiency with Autodesk's AutoCAD required
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Project is expected
  • Experience in managing people and in project management of small to medium multi-discipline design projects and in construction administration (field visits, reviewing submittals and RFIs) is required
  • Previous work in a dynamic multi-disciplinary setting
  • Experienced with performing California Building Code plan check reviews and with current California and ADA accessibility requirements
  • Experienced in roofing, building/industrial plant rehabilitation, existing building as-built documentation, and pre-engineered buildings
  • Ability to manage and coordinate heavy structural and MEP projects
  • Nimble on his or her feet, and be able to manage and perform multiple tasks during the day
  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Revit design software
  • A LEED Accredited Professional
  • Previous work within the NASA Ames facilities environment
